The club’s site describes Ferguson Ridge as “a community-run ski hill in partnership with the Enterprise-Joseph Lions Club,” an all-volunteer hill with 640 vertical feet, open weekends and holidays from about the second Saturday in December to the first Saturday in April, and invites people to “join the story” by becoming club members. Its published history, written in 1993, traces a rope tow on Stanley Hill from 1939, a move to Ski Run Road in 1948, and says that in 1950 “the ski club was also incorporated”; the Ferguson Ridge development began in 1983, the hill opened in 1983–84, a T-bar was installed in 1985 and the lodge built in 1989.
The 1950 incorporation is the club’s own historical account; the state registry shows Eagle Cap Ski Club, Inc. registered in December 1988, and the two dates are not merged. No street address or officers are published, so the record is placed approximately.
