The foundation says that “since 1991, your generosity has transformed health care in our region,” including the hospital that opened in 2007, and that it is guided by a ten-member volunteer board meeting on the third Tuesday of each month in the hospital conference room, open to the public. Since 1996 it has sponsored the Healthy Futures Dinner Auction at Cloverleaf Hall, which it calls the county’s most significant event of the year; it announced its 31st auction for November 2026. Its office is inside Wallowa Memorial Hospital, and its pages name Vearl Lewis as board president and Stacy Green as foundation director.
The foundation gives “since 1991” for its work; the state registration in this name dates from January 1990. The two dates are recorded separately and not reconciled into a founding year.
