The Association’s bylaws state that its purpose includes “the ownership, maintenance, and operation of the Alpine Meadows Golf Course and other recreational facilities.” Its course page says the course was “founded in 1917 by Enterprise Country Club members” with $5,000 in capital stock, and describes “a scenic 9-hole course where Trout Creek meanders through challenging fairways,” par 36 on 43 acres, open April 15 to October 15, with a Tuesday ladies’ day and a Wednesday skins night. It recalls a B-24 bomber that landed on the course on a foggy night in 1944, commemorated since 2016 by an annual Bomber Tournament. Its team page names Ryan Dragoo as president. The Wallowa Valley Golf Foundation adds that the property was deeded to the City of Enterprise in the 1960s and leased to the Association, which runs it with a volunteer board.
The 1917 date is the course’s founding as the Association states it; the Association’s own incorporation date is not stated, and the state registration in its name dates from 1966 and is a filing date. Membership prices are not recorded.
