The district maintains the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the three counties. Public and nonprofit sponsors submit projects through its site, saying what the project is, what it would cost, how many jobs it expects and whether it supports housing; the board considers additions at its quarterly meetings, and a listed project can show funders that it is part of a regional plan. Private projects are not included.
The district also published, with its partners, the 2021 three-county community needs assessment that called workforce housing the biggest concern of the people it interviewed, cited on the Home in 2046 page. Its programs for entrepreneurs, small businesses and local governments are described on its site, which did not fully load when this record was checked; read the current description from the district.
